Bound Newspaper Collection
Avenue Victor Hugo Books has a collection of 47 bound volumes of The Boston Daily Advertiser and The Boston Evening Transcript for sale.
These volumes came to us years ago from the collection of the Massachusetts Historical Society.
The newspapers contained within these volumes are printed on the better newsprint stock of the time. Most feature some foxing stains, short edge tears, and chipping. Paper is moderately yellowed, but still relatively supple. Pages must be handled with care.
The Boston Evening Transcript was the Boston newspaper of record published from July 24, 1830 to April 30, 1941.
The Boston Daily Advertiser was established in 1813 as the first daily newspaper in Boston and for many years was the only daily paper in Boston.
We welcome interested parties to browse these volumes at our store in Lee, New Hampshire.
